Google maps is a a page from Google that has maps of all the world. It has street maps of almost anywhere, you can also choose the option of satellite map.
Google maps has many characteristics:
- On the right side
- You can place any direction and it takes you there
- You can see your current location
- You can also ask for directions from one place to another, print it and share it.
- On the left top corner
- You can see multiple pictures of some places
- You can also see wikipedia articles of some places, like cities, countries, and museums
- You can check the climate of multiple locations in the world
- Videos
- Traffic
- And the topography of the world
Some advantages of Google Maps are:
- It is fast and efficient
- You can view any part of the world
- You don't need an account
Google earth is a 3-dimensional map of the world, more like a digital globe. It isn't only a globe of the earth it also has a globe of Mars, the Moon, and it has a sky map of the stars. Some characteristics are:
- Detailed astronomy maps
- Street view
- 3d- trees
- Go back in time (until 1969)and see old maps
- Navegation

- There if a hidden flight simulator
- To activate press ctrl+alt+a
- choose a plane
- To accelerate: avpage, to decelerate: repage
- Flaps: activate:F, Deactivate:Shift+F

Well the best way the school could use this is in social studies classe studying maps, climate and all the characteristcs that this gives. Also for an astronomy class the sky map might be helpful.
